This hugely popular resort has a very traditional ‘mining town’ feel about it, old clapboard buildings still line the main high street. Christmas light remain up throughout the season making it a joy to walk around in the evening and enjoy the many shops, restaurants and bars.

Snow is always very good due to the resorts high altitude, this shouldn’t be taken for granted and many might want to spend a night or two in one of the lower resorts such as Denver. There is a fantastic mix of slopes with friendly greens in the tree lines and challenging blacks the high you go. Peak 8 is the area to head to for numerous black routes, the slopes under chair 6 and fantastic. Peak 9 allows access to many beautiful of the blues and greens.
